What You'll Do

You’ll serve as the DJ and emcee for weddings and special events—ensuring smooth, joyful, high-quality experiences from setup to teardown.
Responsibilities include:
- Contacting the client 2–4 weeks ahead of time to collect event details using our planning templates.
- Creating a personalized playlist (with guidance from the client) no later than 48 hours before the event.
- Arriving early to set up and sound check all DJ equipment (speakers, stands, table, mixer, mics, laptop, etc.).
- Serving as the face of the event—welcoming guests, guiding the energy of the room, and making announcements as planned.
- Reading the room and selecting music that keeps the vibe right and the dance floor alive.
- Maintaining a professional and attentive presence at all times (no disappearing acts).
- Providing excellent customer service to clients, guests, and fellow vendors.
- Promptly tearing down and loading out gear post-event.
- Thanking the client, collecting final payment (if applicable), and encouraging guests to tag us and leave reviews.

What Makes You a Great Fit

We’re looking for someone with the right blend of people skills and professionalism.
You must be:
- Exceptionally friendly, flexible, and communicative
- Comfortable speaking on a microphone in front of a crowd
- Reliable and punctual—especially on weekends
- Able to problem-solve calmly if tech issues arise
- Interested in learning DJ software, music libraries, and best practices
- Passionate about helping others have an amazing experience
- Able to lift/load audio equipment and perform physical setup/teardown tasks

Bonus if you:
- Know Top 40 music across multiple decades and genres
- Have prior DJ, emcee, or audio experience
- Have a background in performance, hospitality, theater, or customer service
